Francisco was born in 1907.  Francisco's father was Jaime Hugas Comas and his mother was Josefa Vilarasau Codina.  His paternal grandparents were Lorenzo Hugas Vallhonrat and Ana Comas Esteve; his maternal grandparents were Jaume Vilarasau Creus and Margarita Codina Mir. He had three brothers named Jaime, José and Enrique.  He was the youngest of the four children.  He died at the age of 51 in 1958.
