Harriett was born in 1831.  Harriett's father was James Austen and her mother was Mary Drury.  Her paternal grandparents were John Austen and Jane Sawyer; her maternal grandparents are <Unknown> and <Unknown>. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Ambrose, Maria and Eliza.  She was the youngest of the five children.
