Alfons was born on August 24th, 1903 in Maldegem.1  Alfons' father was Henricus Dheuninck and his mother was Amelie Dauwels.  His paternal grandparents were Carolus Ludovicus Deuninck and Maria De Buck; his maternal grandparents were Charles Dauwels and Rosalie Trenson. He had a brother named Lievyn Cyriel.  He was the older of the two children. He had two half-brothers named Leo and Desire.  He died at the age of 76 on July 9th, 1980 in Sijsele.  His burial was in Maldegem.2

Alfons and Rachel were married.  They had a son and two daughters, named Lucien, Nelly and Erna.
