Jacobus was born on September 14th, 1786 in Aardenburg.1   Jacobus' father was Jacobus Deunink and his mother was Catharina de Cock.  His paternal grandparents are Abraham Deunink and Suzanne Buik. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Abraham, Johannis, Jacobus, Jakob, Janna, Maria Johanna, Katrina, Johanna and Adriana.  He was the youngest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 36 on September 18th, 1822 in Maldegem.1

Jacobus and Barbara Theresia were married in a religious & civil ceremony on April 15th, 1819 in Maldegem.1  They had two sons named Joannes and Carolus Ludovicus.
