James Morgan

James was born in 1848 in Barking Essex. James' father was James Thomas (Smack Owner) Morgan and his mother was Mary Ann Gowland. His paternal grandparents were James Morgan and Elizabeth (of Gt Yarmouth) Evans; his maternal grandparents were Thomas (Smack Owner) Gowland and Mary Elizabeth Martin. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Henry, Edward, Thomas, Elizabeth and Mary . He was the oldest of the six children.
