Henry Morgan

Henry was born in 1859 in Heath St Barking Essex.¹ Henry's father was James Thomas (Smack Owner) Morgan and his mother was Mary Ann Gowland. His paternal grandparents were James Morgan and Elizabeth (of Gt Yarmouth) Evans; his maternal grandparents were Thomas (Smack Owner) Gowland and Mary Elizabeth Martin. He had three brothers and two sisters, named James, Thomas, Edward, Mary and Elizabeth. He was the youngest of the six children.
