George was born about May 10th, 1847 in Gillingham Kent and his christening took place on May 30th, 1847 in Chatham Kent. George's father was James Walker (Cowkeeper-Carman - Stableman) and his mother was Harriett Light.  His paternal grandparents were John Walker (Sail Maker) and Elizabeth White; his maternal grandparents were William Light (Blacksmith) and Mary Elizabeth. He had three brothers and two sisters, named James, Henry, William, Mary and Martha.  He was the second oldest of the six children.  He died about December 7th, 1851 in Arden Road Chatham Kent.  The funeral took place on December 14th, 1851 in 14 Dec 1851.  He was buried on December 14th, 1851 in Chatham Kent.1 1
