Alexander Spillman

  • Most of the surviving children of Samuel and Susannah who joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) emigrated to the USA first residing in southern Idaho and Utah.   Joseph Spillman married Margaret Wallace in Salt Lake City, Utah, 30 June 1897.   Joseph's son Alexander, died of TB, 26 Mar. 1947, and is also buried in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.   He died in the hospital in Ogden, Utah.   I want to check on Robert Spillman, son of Thomas and Mary, to see if some of that family joined the LDS church as some of his siblings did.   Robert's son Robert is listed in the 1861 census as being a foreign missionary.   I am curious to know if he was a missionary for the LDS church and where he served.
