Sarah was born on March 10th, 1837 in Nunnery St Castle Hedingham Essex and her christening took place on April 9th, 1837 in Castle Hedingham Church.1  Sarah's father was John of  ( Clare Suffolk) Smith and her mother was Mary Ann Abrams (of  (Gestingthorpe Essex)).  Her paternal grandparents are <Unknown> and <Unknown>; her maternal grandparents are <Unknown> and <Unknown>. She had two brothers and a sister, named John, James and Mary.  She was the second oldest of the four children.  She died from a heart attack, Morbus Corstis 8 months, at the age of 50 on September 25th, 1887 at 5 Mystle Terrace Barking Essex.  The funeral took place on September 30th, 1887 at the Rippleside Cemetery Barking.  She was buried on September 30th, 1887 at the Rippleside Cemetery Barking.2 3 




Sarah's first family

Sarah and Esau were married in a religious ceremony in 1857 in Halstead nr Colchester Essex.  They had a son and two daughters, named Arthur, Jessie and Alice.
