Rose Sapshead

Rose was born in 1888 in St Pancras Middlesex.¹ Rose's father was William Sapshead (Coachman) and her mother was Emma Head (of Shoreditch). Her paternal grandparents were James Sapshead (Livery Stable Keeper) and Mary Page (Potters Bar); her maternal grandparents were George Head (Gen Dealer-Green Grocer) and Ann. She had two brothers and seven sisters, named William, Frederick, Emma, Ada, Louisa, Nelly, Sophia, Minnie and Alice. She was the youngest of the ten children.
