Maria was born on February 7th, 1867 in Barking Essex and her christening took place at St Margaret's  Church Barking.1   Maria's father was John Thomas Quash (Smack Owner) and her mother was Mary Amelia Mills .  Her paternal grandparents were Andrew Quash (pos born Exeter) and Elizabeth Hall; her maternal grandparents were James Bird Mills (Ironmonger) and Jane Machin. She had five brothers and seven sisters, named John, John, James, William, NOT NAMED, Mary , Jane, Elizabeth, Emma, Clara, Emma and Maria .  She was the third youngest of the thirteen children.  She died at the age of 52 on November 5th, 1919 in Barking Essex.  The funeral took place on November 8th, 1919 at St Margaret's  Church Barking.  She was buried on November 8th, 1919 at St Margaret's  Church Barking.2
