Mary was born on April 11th, 1773.  Mary's father was John {Shopkeeper} Moungall and her mother was Elizabeth {2nd wife} Brown.  Her paternal grandfather was John {Mariner} Moungall and her paternal grandmother is Mary Lone (of Strood). She had three brothers and a sister, named John , Nicholas, Samuel and Elizabeth.  She was the second youngest of the five children. She had a half-sister named Sarah.
