John was born in September 1794 in Barking Essex and his christening took place on September 23rd, 1794 at St Margaret's  Church Barking.  John's father was Joseph Frogley (Fisherman/Publican) and his mother was Elizabeth Moungall.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph of Lamberth Frogley and Jane Wells; his maternal grandparents are Nicholas Moungall and Susannah. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, Nicholas, Jane and Elizabeth.  He was the second youngest of the five children.  He died at the age of 70 in 1864 in Australia.1 



John's family

John and Ann were married in a religious ceremony on July 19th, 1815.
