Martha was born about December 1835 in Barking Essex and her baptism took place on January 13th, 1836 at St Margaret's  Church Barking conducted by Curate O Lodge.1  Martha's father was John William Fisher (bap All Saint St Dunstan Fisherman died at sea ?) and her mother was Martha Quash.  Her paternal grandparents were John Fisher (Shipwright of Ratcliff) and Susanna Harris; her maternal grandparents were Andrew Quash (pos born Exeter) and Elizabeth Hall. She had two brothers and a sister, named John , Thomas and Emma.  She was the oldest of the four children.  She died whilst giving birth on March 4th, 1881 in Barking Essex.  The funeral took place on March 12th, 1881 at St Margaret's  Church Barking.  She was buried on March 12th, 1881 at St Margaret's  Church Barking.2

Martha and Charles were married in a religious ceremony on October 8th, 1854 at st Judes Whitechapel witnessed by John & Sarah Sutton. They had six sons and four daughters, named Charles, Isaac, Alfred, Isaac , Andrew, John, Martha, Edith, Emily and Jessie.
