Eliza was born on February 13th, 1835 in Barking Essex and her baptism took place on February 13th, 1835 at St Margaret's  Church Barking. Eliza's father was Thomas Francis Dunsdon (Fisherman) and her mother was Emma Lee (Lived Lowestoft d Barking).  Her paternal grandparents were Charles Richard Dunsdon (Fisherman) and Martha Bowman. She had seven brothers named Thomas, William, Charles, George, George, Frederick and Thomas.  She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 47 in March 1882 in Lowestoft Suffolk.

Eliza and Samuel were married in a religious ceremony on April 23rd, 1854 at St Margaret's Barking.1   They had two sons and two daughters, named Samuel, James, Alice and Ada.
