William was born on August 10th, 1793 in Barking Essex.  William's father was JOHN Douss and his mother was ANN. He had a brother and two sisters, named Thomas, Sarah and ANN.  He was the second youngest of the four children.  He died at the age of 69 on June 1st, 1863.
