Jane was born in 1831 in Chipstead Surrey.  Jane's father was John Cox (Wheeler) and her mother was Ann. She had a brother and three sisters, named Henry, Matilda, Eliza and Harriett.  She was the youngest of the five children.  She died at the age of 71 on December 1st, 1902 in Chipstead Surrey.1

Jane and William were married in a religious ceremony on September 14th, 1854 in Islington Middlesex.2  They had four sons and three daughters, named William, Arthur, Ernest, Walter, Clara, Sarah and Jane.
