Arthur was born on June 8th, 1861.1   Arthur's father was William Bennett (Bricklayer & Publican ) and his mother was Jane Cox (b Westminister).  His paternal grandparents were Edward born Merstham Surrey Bennett (Bricklayer then Inn Keeper) and Sarah Tulett (of Crawley Sussex); his maternal grandparents were John Cox (Wheeler) and Ann. He had three brothers and three sisters, named William, Ernest, Walter, Clara, Sarah and Jane.  He was the third youngest of the seven children.  He died about June 1861 in Hooley Surrey.  He was buried in June 1861 in Chipstead Surrey.2
