Samuel was born in 1842 in Earls Colne.  Samuel's father was Samuel  Brewer (Iron Work Labourer) and his mother was Elizabeth.  His paternal grandfather was John Brewer and his paternal grandmother is Susan. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Esau, Benjamin, Jerimiah, Thomas, Dianna and Sarah.  He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.



Samuel's family

Samuel and Frances were married in a religious ceremony in December 1871 in Halstead Essex.1   They had two sons and a daughter, named Samuel, William and Alice.
