Caroline was born on April 16th, 1842 in Chipstead Surrey.1   Caroline's father was Edward born Merstham Surrey Bennett (Bricklayer then Inn Keeper) and her mother was Sarah Tulett (of Crawley Sussex).  Her paternal grandfather was Bennett and her paternal grandmother is <Unknown>; her maternal grandparents are <Unknown> and <Unknown>. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Edward, Henry, John, William, Richard, Jane, Sarah, Maria, Mary and Louisa.  She was the youngest of the eleven children.  She died at the age of 27 on February 13th, 1870.2
