Delores Young to CMB 6/06: He is listed in the 1860 St. Clair county census as William with Nicy M. and their children Franklin M. (my great grandfather), Malissa E., and Elizabeth N. Unissa Margie died after 1860 and he married her cousin Elnora Brothers on November 20, 1864 in St. Clair county Alabama. (St,. Clair county Marriage Records) William P. and Elnora had a child born in Mississippi in 1873. I have not found him in the 1870 census, but he is in the Lawrence county census from 1880 until he died on February 21, 1908. He is buried in Lawrence county Alabama. He was in the Confederate Army, Company A, 12th Batallion of the Alabama Calvary. He was enlisted by Captain A. G. Bennett in Gadsden Alabama on the 17th day of August in 1862. He applied for and drew a pension in Lawrence county in 1901 for his service in the Civil War. I can't be certain, but I believe my W. P. is the son of Ausborn and Elizabeth.
