Chester Arthur was born on February 23rd, 1901.  Chester Arthur's father was David Layfatte BARNETT and his mother was Mary Eliza SHAW.  His paternal grandparents were Asa Franklin BARNETT and Martha Elizabeth Ann BARNETT.  He had six brothers and nine sisters, named Thomas, Bosco Houston, Virgil (Hood) Clayton, Asa Warren, Audie Lee, Oliver L., Amanda Elizabeth, Etta Neomia, Tamsie Ophelia, Martha Lou Ella, Donie Pearl, Selora, Clara A., Ethel L. and Vernon L..  He was the fourteenth oldest of the sixteen children.  He died at the age of 81 on October 28th, 1982.
