Mary E Sparks
Mary E was born on March 7th, 1919.
Birth Notes
I am so excited to see all that you sent me!
Where are you located?
I am in Goliad, Texas
I grew up in South Jersey.
Why is the name Finlow at one point? Instead of Finlay.
We will be flying to Ireland on March 18th.
How would I find the same place where you were standing?
I have information about Mary Ann Finlay & William Mc Ilfactrick when they lived in Philadelphia. I have a photo of the large house where they lived. They had a boarding house for Irish men that would come over to work. When they could get enough money they would send for their families. They had six children & four of them had died within a week from an illness. My mother thought it was typhoid. I have photos of the children & tombstones in Philadelphia... My grandmother was one of the oldest girls that lived until 1976. I have photos, etc. if you are interested.
I would love to find the old farm land in Ireland if there is some way to give me directions. It is exciting that I got all this information on my mother's birthday! She passed away 5 years ago here in Texas. She would be 99 today! She was born in 1919.
Mary E 's father was
Howard Sparks and her mother was
Elizabeth McIlfatrick. Her maternal grandparents were
William McIlfatrick and
Mary Anne [1867-Ballinrees] Finlay. She was an only child. She died at the age of 94 in 2013.
