  Date of Birth from Public Record Office of Northern Ireland Old Age Pension/Census records - in fact she was probably born circa 1840, judging by the ages of her siblings.

Margaret's father was John [1858-TheMeen,Plots20&21] Gordon and her mother was Agnes "Nancy" McCook.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas [1858-TheMeen,Plots 25&26] Gordon and Catherine Carmichael; her maternal grandparents were James McCook and Mary Ann McIlhouse. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, James, Robert, Marianne, Catherine and Catherine.  She was the oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 77 on January 4th, 1914.

  According to her death certificate, Margaret Bell Kerr died on 4th January 1914 in Kilrea, aged 63, a widow, the widow of a labourer, of cardio vascular disease, her son, Thomas Kerr, of Kilrea, being present at death.  In fact, she was 77.

• General Notes

  Source:  the Public Records Office of Northern Ireland.  A Margaret Kerr asked the Old Age Pensions department to check for her age on the census records in Dublin to prove she was 72 in 1909 and therefore qualified for the old age pension.  She gave her parents as John and Nancy Gordon of Lislea.
  
  NB: IFHF gives six children born to John Gordon and Unknown McCook and the missing one is Margaret so this may not be correct.
  
  1st Kilrea Presbyterian Church marriage records show a Peggy Belle Gordon, father John Gordon, marrying a Henry Kerr in 1862 but she is from Moneysallin.  This nevertheless has to be her because of the evidence of the OAP/Census record.  Details confirmed in Civil Record.  I also have a record for a William John Gordon, who might be her brother-in-law dying in Moneysallin in 1870.

Ok Margaret Isabella Gorgon married Henry Kerr. They had a daughter Mary Louisa Kerr 1871 - 1935who was my grandmother. She married Thomas Lafferty 1877 - 1951 . They had a son and a daughter . The son was my father Gordon Patrick Laverty 1915 - 1990

  Too many children, married 10 years too late, she has no Samuel, the children are too young, and when you check for these children, Thomas and Samuel, you find them born to a William Kerr and Margaret Gilmour, which is confirmed by this:
