Elizabeth's father was Mathew Finlay and her mother was Jane Mathews.  Her paternal grandparents were John [1831,1841-Ballystrone] Finlay and Mary Anne McDougal. She had four brothers and three sisters, named John, Robert, Mathew, Thomas, Martha, Jane and Mary.  She was the youngest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 69 on August 15th, 1952.

  Source: SS - Elizabeth born 1/9/1883, emigrated 11/2/1908, returned to Ireland and married William McClean from Limavady. They moved to Scotland, Children-Elizabeth Jane and Martha.
  
  The photo of Elizabeth Finlay McClean also includes her niece, Elizabeth Vincent, and great niece, Mary Vincent. Elizabeth Vincent was named after Elizabeth Finlay McClean and they were very close. Elizabeth Vincent is the daughter of Martha Jane Finlay and Robert Vincent. Martha Jane was the daughter of Mathew Finlay and Jane Mathews and the sister of Elizabeth Finlay. Elizabeth Vincent married her 1st cousin, William Vincent. Hence she kept the Vincent name. Mary Vincent is the daughter of Elizabeth and William.
