  In his will calendar entry, he is described as a farmer of Killeague.  His executors were James Henry, farmer of Blackheath and Hugh Ramsey, farmer of Kinneyglass.
  
  Mentioned as the master of Killure School, Macosquin in the 1835 OS Memoirs.
  
  On the question of where Kennedy got his Christian name, Pyke's 1725 Survey of Aghadowey shoes a Saml Kenedy as a tenant in Killeagh, while Alsop's 1765 Survey of Aghadowey shows that two William Kennedy's each held a quarter of the townland of Killeagh.  The 1831 Census shows three Kennedys in Aghadowey - Alexander, Hugh and Matthew (but there are over a dozen Kennedys in Macosquin just next door).  The TAB shows 17 Kennedys in Aghadowey but none in Killeage or any of "my" other Boyd townlands.  The GV has 29, two in Collins both called Matthew.
  
  There are no Boyds in Killeagh in either Pyke's 1725 survey or Alsop's 1765 Survey.
  
  There are NO Boyds in Killeague in the 1831 Census.
  
  There are no Boyds in Killeague in the 1833 TAB.
  
  Kennedy Boyd is the only Boyd living in Killeague in the GV:
  Killeague - Kennedy Boyd - about 6 acres and a house (right beside Hugh Kennedy's land and the schoolhouse).
  
  An Education Commission report of 1858 shows Kennedy as qualified in 1842 and teaching at Killeague.
  
  There are no Boyds in the 1901 Census in Killeague.
  
  I think Kennedy's father was John Boyd, going on naming patterns.  I also think Kennedy was probably a brother of Benjamin Boyd as both have grandsons called Barclay, a very unusual name.  If Kennedy was a teacher and not a farmer, was Benjamin the oldest and is it Benjamin and his father, John, who share the land in the TAB in Ballylintagh?!!
  
  I also think it possible though unlikely that Kennedy may well have been a brother of my Mary Boyd and that is why my father has the obituary of Ringland Boyd in his scrapbook.  They would have been third cousins.

  Kennedy Boyd (1806-1888) was the son of William Boyd and Nancy Gage and grandson of John Boyd and Margaret Boyd, so you shouldn't assume that you are descended from the Kennedys.

  The James Henry farmer of Blackheath, who is noted, was my Great Grandfather. Really interesting stuff.
  And further down it states:
  Killeague - Kennedy Boyd - about 6 acres and a house (right beside Hugh Kennedy's land and the schoolhouse).
  The Hugh Kennedy mentioned was my Great Great GrandUncle.
  Then a little further down it states:
  Kennedy Boyd (1806-1888) was the son of William Boyd and Nancy Gage
  While I am not 100% certain, I believe that Nancy Gage was the sister of Margaret Gage who was married to my Great GrandUncle Robert Tannahill, who was born in Ballycaghan.
