An Andrew Gage is mentioned in the Griffiths Valuation for the townland of Moneybrannon, just south of Collins, holding 25 acres. Could this be Nancy's father, or, judging by the date, more likely her brother, and perhaps thus suggesting another Andrew was their father? The importance of this is that it would explain why Nancy and William might have a younger son called Andrew, which is NOT a Boyd name.
The 1833 TAB also shows an Andrew George, which could well be the same name, Andrew Gage. In fact, bearing in mind how uncommon the surname George is, it seems likely. This Andrew might be the father of Nancy and the Andrew mentioned in the Griffiths Valuation of the 1850s.
A Margaret Gage was the administrix of the affairs of an Andrew Gage of Moneybrannon in 1898 according to the Land Commission Report. This suggests that her husband would have been youngish in the 1850s GV and is very unlikely to be the Andrew Gage in the TAB.
An Andrew Gage, aged 74 of Moneybrannon, died in 1869 = DoB of 1797, with an Andrew Gage of Moneybrannon PAD.
