  (The South African nieces were the children of John's wife's brother, Thomas Boyd, who spent time in SA before going to Canada.)
  
  The births of his children are recorded in Dromore Seceder Church.  I am also assuming that he is the same John Boyd who married in this church in the year before the first child is baptised even though the one who married gave his residence as Crosscanealy.  This is confirmed by the fact that his sister, Rebecca, was born in Crosscandly according to the Civil Record as quoted on the IGI. 
  
  Crosscanealy (Glebe) is immediately south of Ballylintagh, which in turn is immediately west of Dromore.
