Hello Boyd,
Al Luce provided your e-mail address to us. My husband, Bob (Robert Bellingham Tuck), is the grandson of Robert Bellingham, son of John and Margaret of Kilrea.
We are planning a trip to Ireland (our first) next spring and hope that we will be able to meet you then. I understand that the Bann River Bellinghams are scattered about and you are probably one of the few still in the area.
Please let us know if you would like to spend a few hours with us if the timing is agreeable. We will, of course, let you know exact information once we have figured it all out.
Sincerely,
Maryann & Bob Tuck
Thanks, Maryann. I will look forward to receiving the details.
I don't need my DNA done to know that Bob and I share a common ancestry in Thomas Bellingham, 1793-1877, and Mary Jane McCart, 1801-1877. They are both my great great grandparents AND my great great great grandparents because my grandfather married his mother's first cousin. They are Bob's great great grandparents. That makes Bob and I third cousins.... and fourth cousins once removed!
Boyd

Indeed, Boyd, I’ll be happy to provide the information you asked for. I need to wait a bit to do so as I’m temporarily living with my daughter, son-in-law and children. I will take occupancy of my new home in Cary, NC at the end of August. All my things, except for some notes, are in storage until then. I had noted Fairy Thorn because I have been using this interim time to track down a variety of genealogical items that I had on my “to-do” list.
Bob and I visited his cousins, daughters of Alfred Bellingham about 4 years ago. I will also send you their photos plus some of Robert and Delia, Margery and Charles (Sr.), Charles (Jr.) and Bob and our children Gregory, Nancy, and Charles. Gregory and Nancy were adopted, Charles is biologically ours. Bob’s brother, Charles (Jr.) passed two years ago. He had two daughters, Tracy and Cindy.
Charles has submitted his DNA to FamilyTreeDNA, both Y-DNA and autosomal. The autosomal could show a relationship to you if you or any other Bellingham kin have had their DNA tested. I do not have the information at hand, but, if I correctly recall, the McCarts resided next door to your family in Kilrea. There may be some additional relationships there. I’m not sure that there are records to support it other than Griffiths revision lists.
Best regards,
Maryann
