John McLatchie
John was born in 1737 in Ayrshire.1 He died at the age of 60 in August 1797. He was buried in Old Cumnock.1 1- Death Notes

Here, too, in the old Kirk of Scotland cemetery, until quite recently, could also be seen the weathered tombstones, now long since fallen and illegible, which bore their names. This John and Janet, who, although not born here, lived out the greater part of their married lives at Sykeside in this Parish, became parents here of at least eight of their children
