Janet, known as Jenny, was born in 1892 in Kelvin.¹

Jenny's father was Alexander Walker and her mother was Martha Donald. Her maternal grandparents were William Donald and Janet Towers. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Alexander, William, Carrie and Maimie. She was the oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 69 in 1961 in Kelvin.
