Charles' father was Alexander Walker and his mother was Marion Ure. His paternal grandparents were Alexander Walker and Helen Greig. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Alexander, William, Annie and Helen. He was the youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 50 on February 20th, 1926 in Glasgow.
