Ann was born in 1837 in Paisley.1 2   Ann's father was William Story and her mother was Mary Drummond.  Her maternal grandparents were William Drumond and Mary Tours. She had five brothers and two sisters, named James, Alexander, Thomas, William, Michael, Mary and Margaret.  She was the second youngest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 85 in 1922 in Paisley.
