Elizabeth's father was Matthew Stewart and her mother was Margaret (Maggie) Reid Stalker. Her maternal grandparents were John Stalker and Catherine Hamilton. She had two brothers and a sister, named John, Albert and Catherine. She was the second youngest of the four children. She died before July 1937.¹
