Jessie, known as Jenny, was born on May 21st, 1845 in Glasgow and her baptism took place there on July 11th, 1845.^1 2

Jenny's father was John Rennie and her mother was Euphemia McKichan.  Her paternal grandparents were James Rennie and Janet Stronach. She had three brothers and two sisters, named James, John, Archibald, Catherine and Euphemia.  She was the youngest of the six children. She had a half-brother named Andrew.  She died from cancer, Carcinoma recti, 1 year, bronchiopneumonia, 2 days, at the age of 78 on September 21st, 1923 in Glasgow.³
