Mary Reid 
Mary was born in 1843 in Newton-on-Ayr.1 Mary's father was Archibald Reid and her mother was Catherine Cuthbert. Her paternal grandparents were Adam Reid and Catharine Fulton. She had a brother and four sisters, named Adam, Catherine, Margaret, Agnes and Helen. She was the third oldest of the six children.-
