Catherine Reid

Catherine was born in December 1838 in Newton-on-Ayr and her baptism took place on December 30th, 1838 in St. Quivox.^1 2   Catherine's father was Archibald Reid and her mother was Catherine Cuthbert.  Her paternal grandparents were Adam Reid and Catharine Fulton. She had a brother and four sisters, named Adam, Margaret, Mary, Agnes and Helen.  She was the oldest of the six children.  She died at the age of 48 in 1886 in Glasgow.
