Robert, known as Robb, was born in 1925 in Alberta.1 Robb's father was James Dewar Johnston and his mother was Anne (Annie) Willing Parnell. His paternal grandparents were Robert Johnston and Ann Dewar. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named George and Doris.
