Janet (Jessie) Donaldson Geddes

Janet, known as Jessie, was born on June 3rd, 1825 in Paisley and her baptism took place there on June 19th, 1825.¹²

Jessie's father was Rev John Geddes and her mother was Dorothea (Dora) Thomson. Her maternal grandparents were James Thomson and Jean Duncan. She had three brothers and a sister, named Robert, James, Dora and Jane. She was the third oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 73 in 1898 in Ayr.
