Janet (Jesse) Borthwick

Janet, known as Jesse, was born in 1824 in Dalmeny.¹² Jesse's father was George Borthwick and her mother was Janet Cuthbertson. Her paternal grandparents were Hugh Borthwick and Margaret Brash. She had three brothers named Hugh, James and George. She was the youngest of the four children. She died at the age of 45 on January 11th, 1869 in Cramond. She was buried in Kirkliston.³³
