Allan's father was Peter Turner Bone and his mother was Elizabeth (Lizzie) Lusk Allan. His paternal grandparents were John Bone and Ann Turner. He had a brother named John. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 87 on October 4th, 1982 in Montreal. The funeral took place on October 7th, 1982 in Montreal. He was buried in Montreal.²²
