John Rankin Walker

John Rankin was born on October 14th, 1789. John Rankin's father was William S Anderson taken by indians Walker (Wyandot adopted) Sr and his mother was Catherine Montour Turtle Clan Rankin (Wyandot). His paternal grandparents were John Houston Walker IV and Mary Anderson or Long or Nancy Tandy; his maternal grandparents were James Rankin (Wyandot adopted) and Mary Montour (Big Turtle Clan of Wyandots). He had four brothers and two sisters, named William Häh-shäh'-rêhs, meaning "the stream over full"; the second was Sêhs'-täh-rôh, meaning "bright,", Matthew Rankin, Joel, Walker, Isabel and Maria Rankin.
