Elizabeth was born about 1750.  Elizabeth's father was Col Southey Simpson and her mother was Comfort.  Her paternal grandfather was Thomas Simpson Jr and her paternal grandmother is Rhoda Rhody Clark. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Selby, John, Southey, Elijah, George, Leah and Sarah.  She was the third oldest of the eight children.  She died about October 15th, 1778.
