Willis E. was born on February 9th, 1869.  Willis E.'s father was Fountain Simeon "Sim" Marshall and his mother was Sarah Elizabeth Miller.  His paternal grandparents were Lewis Simeon Marshall and Martha Ann Elizabeth McDaniel; his maternal grandparents were George Washington Miller and Sarah Ann Jenkins. He had five brothers named William Early Earl, George, James Henry, Simeon M and Edward.  He was the third oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 3 on September 23rd, 1872.  He was buried in Mt. hope Cemetery Waverly ,Missouri.
