Hettye May Marshall

Hettye May was born on May 28th, 1882 in At home, Bedington, WV. Hettye May's father was Mason Marshall and her mother was Mary Hollida Folk. Her paternal grandparents were James M. Marshall and Eliza Rush. She had three brothers and four sisters, named James William, George Fulk, Phineas Daniel, Sara Eliza, Mary Mason, Ella Rose and Emma McDaniel. She was the third oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 85 on June 21st, 1967 in Knotts Rest Home, Charles Town, WV. She was buried in Elmwood Cem, Shepherdstown, WV.

General Notes
- She moved to Morgantown, WV in 1933 and opened a boarding house. She was
  committed to seeing that Bill received a college education at WVU. During
  World War II, she was a house mother at Rumsey Hall (Entler Hotel), the
  Shepherd College student dorm.
