Elizabeth was born in 1745 in Tinicum Twp, Bucks Co, PA.  Elizabeth's father was Edward the Walker Marshall and her mother was Elizabeth Oberfeldt Ueberfeldt Overfield.  Her paternal grandparents were unknown Marshall and <Unknown>. She had five brothers and four sisters, named William, Moses, Martin, edward had 21 children, Peter, Catherine, Jemima, Naomi and Amy. She had five half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Peter, Thomas, Edward, Frederick?, William, <Unknown>, <Unknown>, <Unknown> and <Unknown>.
