Anne's father was Robert alias William of Ilminster Marshall and her mother was Joan Joanne Owsley Owseley.  Her paternal grandparents were William Marshall and Mary Barnes (poss); her maternal grandparents were <Unknown> and <Unknown>. She had eight brothers named Edward, Nicholas, John the younger   became Mayor of Exeter, Robert, Roger, Thomas, Willam and John the Elder of Chillington.
