Nancy was born about 1731 in Charles City County, Maryland.  Nancy's father was Samuel Love and her mother was Mary Abbott.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Love and Lucia Lucie Dobson. She had five brothers named Samuel, Charles, William, Jose and Phillip.  She was the youngest of the six children.
