Col Charles Lewis

Charles was born on March 11th, 1735 in Bellefonte, Augusta Co., Va. Charles' father was John pioneer Lewis and his mother was Margaret Lynn. His paternal grandparents were Andrew Lewis and Mary Calhoun; his maternal grandparents were William Lynn and Margaret Patton. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Samuel, Thomas, Andrew, William, Anne, Margaret Lynn and Alice. He was the seventh oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 39 on October 10th, 1774 in Battle of Point Pleasant VA.
