Jane was born in 1759.  Jane's father was Jacob Faris (Phariss Faris Farris) and her mother was Ruth Hayden (Hadden).  Her maternal grandparents were Anthony Hayden (Hadden Haden, Hayden, Haydon, Haddon, Headen) and Margaret Douglas (Black Douglas POSS). She had two brothers and two sisters, named Josiah, John, Martha Patsy and Frances Frankey.  She was the third oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 90 in 1849 in TN.
